Pre school sessions
Pre-schoolers and their families can now attend weekly on Wednesday or Friday from 10 a.m till 12. Sessions include crafts, mud kitchen play, pond dipping, tool work, campfire cooking and stories. N.B over January and February, pre schoolers can join the home school group on a Wednesday afternoon. Book on via the home school and pre school mix link.
Home school sessions
Home schooling families can twice attend monthly on Wednesday afternoons from 1-3p.m. Sessions include crafts, pond dipping, mud kitchen play, den building, tool work, fire lighting skills, campfire cooking. (Home school will be mixing with pre school families over January and February)
We hold the sessions in Long Eaton Community Garden on Norfolk Road Recreation Ground.
We also use the park for den building, tree climbing, exploring, games and foraging.
We have use of the garden’s compost loo and access to fresh drinking water. The garden is wheelchair-friendly with well established paths and a ramp up to the compost loo.
Hot and cold drinks are available for adults and children and we cook a campfire snack each session for adults and children. For example pocket pizzas, teacakes, crumpets, apple crumble,
